The Creativity of our God

For the past two days and a total of six hours, I have been deep in the realms of musical composition… perhaps deeper than I have been before. On Tuesday, I was asked to score the prologue for this year’s ComeChristmas Sing! concert series at the college… for full orchestra. The premise was to score two minutes of “mood music” that would be set to film in the next week; the ball really did not start going until our Lord allowed me to read Isaiah 64.

The first verse is enough to make one stand in awe…

“Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down,
that the mountains might quake at your presence—”

What a creative God, to put himself in the form of a man to minister to and redeem those who have rejected Him since their creation, spat in his face and sinned against him! O the unsearchable depths of his wisdom in such a great plan. The author of all creativity began his work, his greatest depth of work in creativity before even the dawn of time as we comprehend it. The prophets foretold it, 12 men witnessed it personally, countless have died as testimony to it, and I get to write about it.

Praise the Creator for his great depth and creativity in sending his Son to Earth for His glory!
